Mooncake Candle Making Workshop: A Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is one of the most beloved celebrations across East and Southeast Asia. It’s a time for family gatherings, sharing mooncakes, and gazing at the full moon as a symbol of reunion and harmony. Traditionally, mooncakes — round pastries filled with sweet or savoury fillings — are gifted and enjoyed with loved ones as a way to celebrate the harvest and togetherness.
At We Candle It, we’ve taken inspiration from this beautiful tradition to create something a little different (and completely wax-made!) — our Mooncake Candle Making Workshop. Instead of a treat you can eat, you’ll be crafting a mooncake-shaped candle that looks almost good enough to taste, while carrying a lovely scent that fills your home with warmth.
